FANUC and Kawasaki Debut Next-Generation AI Robotics at Automate 2026

<p>Automate 2026 opened in Chicago with major robot manufacturers unveiling next-generation systems. Kawasaki presented its first 8-DOF physical AI robot, designed for adaptive handling in unstructured environments, while FANUC showcased collaborative robots and AI-enabled vision systems for high-mix, low-volume production.</p> <p>ABB also introduced its Physical AI Toolchain, allowing engineers to train robotic behavior through simulation and deploy it directly to physical controllers.
